PRINCESS CRUISES ANNOUNCES 2021 EUROPE ITINERARIES

Princess Cruises announces 2021 cruises and cruise tours to amazing destinations in the Mediterranean, British Isles, Scandinavia & Russia, Norway & Iceland and Transatlantic crossings. Five Princess ships will be sailing during Europe’s 2021 season; The Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, Crown Princess, Island Princess and Grand Princess, with a total of 180 departures on 63 unique itineraries to 108 destinations in 31 countries.  Every ship will feature Princess Medallion Class Vacations. 

 Some of the bucket list itineraries include: Enchanted Princess sails throughout the Mediterranean with Barcelona, Rome or Athens and will feature Istanbul, and select departures from Turkey offering 7, 11, 14, and 21 day departures.

Sky Princess will highlight Northern Europe to the Baltic on 11day Scandinavia & Russia sailings from Copenhagen.

Crown Princess will sail to the popular 12day British Isles itineraries from London or Paris and features Dublin, Edinburgh and a new port of Portland, giving access to the prehistory monument of Stonehenge (on select sailings).

Island Princess will offer two sailings to the sails the Holy Land of Israel, and new for 2021, a 16 day Iceland & Greenland sailing with port visits including Reykjavik and Akureyri, Iceland, and Nanortalik and Qaqortoq, Greenland.

Grand Princess and Island Princess each sail to the top of the world during the Summer Solstice on June 21, 2021, the longest day of the year, to where the sun never sets on 14 or 16 day Land of the Midnight Sun & Summer Solstice cruises.

Grand Princess sails roundtrip from London to Norway, Scandinavia & Russia, the Mediterranean, and a special 24 day sailing to Canada & New England in the fall. Multiple ships visit cities during popular festival times, such as Scotland during the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and new for 2021, Island Princess visits Hamburg during Oktoberfest.

Cultural offerings with select sailings which will visit an array of treasured UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Acropolis in Athens and Ephesus from Kusadasi. They will also be including more overnight and late night ashore to maximize time to explore the cities. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy award winning Discovery, Discovery Family, Animal Planet and Bon Appetit shore excursions.

Overnight stays are offered in: St. Petersburg, on every 11 day Scandinavia & Russia from Copenhagen on Sky Princess, 14 day Baltic Heritage from London on Grand Princess and 14 day Scandinavia & Russia from London on Island Princess.

Cork, Ireland, on a 12 day British Isles from London June 19, 2021 on Crown Princess. Alta, Norway, on the 12 day in search for the Northern Lights from London on Island Princess.

Barcelona and Genoa on 7 day Mediterranean voyage on Enchanted Princess. St. Petersburg and Berlin on every 11day Scandinavia & Russia voyage on Sky Princess.

Belfast on every British Isles sailing from London or Paris on Crown Princess. Copenhagen on both 7 day Scandinavia on Grand Princess.

Malta and Corfu on every 11day Grand Western Mediterranean voyage on Enchanted Princess.

Dubrovnik on 11 day Grand Mediterranean on Enchanted Princess. Several Mediterranean and Northern Europe cruises can be combined with a multi night land tour to create a cruise tour for additional exploration.

Captain’s Circle Savings and Early Booking Deposit: Princess past guests are eligible for a special promotion when they book early. The special promotion consists of up to a $200 per person discount off the public fare, based on itinerary. This can be combined with launch and group promotions. These discounts do not apply to third or fourth berth guests. Additionally, a reduced deposit is available for Captain Circle guests when they book by December 31, 2019.

MSC LAUNCHES NEW TEEN ACTIVITIES

MSC Grandiosa will offer new teen activities when she makes her debut in November. The Drone Academy, MSC Dance Crew, and Spy Mission. As well as developing a new web series targeted for the teens.

MSC cruises welcomes over 350,000 children onboard each year. MSC has had an increasing number of teens sailing making up close to 40% of their young guests. According to Matteo Mancini, the children’s entertainment manager at MSC – This has driven MSC’s development of exciting new teen focused entertainment activities and a new series dedicated to teens. MSC is working with London based immersive agency The Department, specialists in creating theatrical and technology-driven productions, to introduce new options.

The Drone Academy will take place in MSC Grandiosa’s Sportsplex venue, this high-energy drone relay race comes to life at night thanks to fluo effects and glowing drones. Teens are trained in piloting skills before competing in teams to race through an arena, navigating 15 obstacles in the quickest time possible.

MSC Dance Crew developed with Fremantle, the production company behind the global hit series ‘Idols,’ ‘The X Factor’ and ‘Got Talent,’ this is a new competition where teams ages 12-17 battle it out to win the title of dance crew of the year.

Spy Mission where young audiences play a central role in a new, immersive roaming spy experience. Participants are led through scenes blending reality and fiction that take place throughout the ship. They unravel storylines, follow clues and solve a mystery to win prizes.

Web series “Cabin 12006” is a new seven-episode series follows teenager Markus as he embarks on his first cruise but his vacation doesn’t quite go to plan and turns into an unexpected adventure. MSC Bellissima’s Cabin 12006 is full of unanswered questions and surprises, and it’s down to Markus and his friend Lucas to solve the mystery with the help of virtual personal cruise assistant Zoe. Meanwhile, two young guys dreaming of a career on a cruise ship come aboard for an internship and unintentionally get tangled in the tale via a whirlwind love story.

Viacom collaboration is a series that has been written and shot in collaboration with Viacom, the media group behind Nickelodeon. The series features talents including Luciano Spinelli, Max & Harvey, Matteo Markus Bok, Sespo, Valerio Mazzei, Rosalba and, for the first time as comedians, kids from UNICEF Ambassador group Kids United. Collectively they have millions of followers across their social channels and are known by kids and teens worldwide. Filming is under way on board MSC Bellissima, with the episodes expected to launch early in 2020. 

MSC has also introduced a new offering MasterChef at Sea Juniors which launched last October on MSC Seaview and is rolling out fleetwide across the entire MSC Cruises, meaning that kids on board any ship will be able to take part in the interactive two-stage cooking competition. This activity is developed to help inspire a new generation of children to take an interest in cooking and encourage healthy eating. The activity helps children to practice useful techniques and cultivate creativity in the kitchen through recipes devised by Rukmini Iyer, a MasterChef contestant from 2013 and author of two best-selling cookbooks.

MSC continues with a comprehensive entertainment schedule offering hundreds of hours of activities each week, dedicated spaces for different age groups, water parks, a high-tech virtual games arcade and more.
